It was amazing for me to see the transition from week one to week four and how far the kids had come.

In the four short weeks, the group quickly became like a family of their own…each and every child has learned at least a handful of cooking skills that they will carry with them forever.

It has meant so much to all of them, to be able to have the experience of getting ‘down and dirty’ in the kitchen; not to mention sitting around a table and eating together as a family. I use the word family as this is exactly what happens over the course of the four week program, we come together through food to create a common bond and a sense of belonging.

…We all make better decisions for ourselves when we feel good about ourselves!
